Jesus often shared meals with people, and He always made sure people were fed! As we see though the feeding of the 5,000 and other accounts, He fed people spiritual nourishment through daily bread and He made sure people were physically fed.
We will be partnering with The Island Church Food Pantry to minister as the hands of feet of Jesus by feeding nearly 200 families in Baldwin County! We will work together with members of The Island Church to distribute 10,000 pounds of food, providing 50 pounds or more of food to each family.
There are multiple roles to serve in through this service opportunity. All ages are welcome! Children and others who need to work in the air conditioning will help sort and bag food items.
Anyone who has a strong back, can work outside, and can conistently lift 50+ pounds of food will work to lift and deliver food to those picking up.
We will be divided up into teams to serve after arriving at Island Church.
